Background

Telegael is a Irish animation company based in Gallway. It was founded in 1988. The company didn't have an on-screen logo until 2001. Its multi-Emmy and IFTA award winning studio works with international producers, distributors and broadcasters to develop, finance and co-produce animation and live-action content for the global market.

1st Logo (January 1, 2001-2011)

Logo: In a blue room, there is a black screen with a blue rectangle outline in it as well as a whirlpool shape, created with red, green, and blue spirals. There is also the green text "TELEGAEL" below it. It glows for a second before dying down In the foreground, a microphone hops away from a button impressed into the floor (looking like it hopped onto it to reveal the logo) before tilting its "head" up straight.

Variants:

  • An in-credit version has the logo seen without the screen.
  • Later on, the print logo was changed to include the microphone and the screen, showing the logo at an angle. There are several different styles for this as well.

FX/SFX: The screen glowing, the microphone moving.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme to the show.

Availability: Rare. The animated logo is known to be seen in full on Horrible Histories (2001), ToddWorld and in the corner on later episodes of Pet Alien. Most other shows use either in-credit logos, or none at all.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (2011- )

Logo: On a white background, there is a large mass of green circles, all in various sizes and placements. To the right of it is "telegael".

Variant: An in-credit version exists on Wild Grinders and at the end of Norm of the North.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme.

Availability: Current.

Editor's Note: None.
