Background

Teleargentina Division Video was a unit of Teleargentina S.A. that was formed on June 6, 1990 by Hugo Antonio Tucci and Mirta Ostrovsky, Hector Daniel Jacob Yankelevich, Lino Celestino Perez and Jose Montero Pereira. The company's product mostly consisted of low-budget movies, such as those from Cinetel Films, Image Organization, Full Moon, Moonstone Entertainment, Vision International and MDP Worldwide among other outfits. It even operated sublabels like Teleamerica Video Home and MD Video Home. The company then shut down in 1997.

Logo (1990-1997)

Visuals: On a black-lavender-gray gradient background, a white spark appears from the center. More sparks appear from the background and a rounded TV tube flies in with a CGI videotape flying over the tube. The tube then moves over to form the word "TELEARGENTINA" in a blue futuristic font with "DIVISION VIDEO" in a tall font that was spaced out to fit the length of "TELEARGENTINA". The tube then rotates to form a silver "TA" in a rounded font with lines in it. The lines then fill in with blue on the TV tube, except for the "TA". The cut-out of the tube then zooms out with a shiny silver border to the bottom of the background. A red line then draws between the two backgrounds, and the text flies in from below the tube.

Technique: Early '90s CGI animation.

Audio: A crystalized synth with some majestic notes, ending with a voiceover saying "Teleargentina Division Educativa presenta..."

Availability: Seen on most Teleargentina Division Video tapes.
