Background

Team Downey is an American film and television production company founded by Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey in 2010, with David Gambino as president. It was based at Warner Bros. until October 2016; even after leaving Warner Bros, the company will still be part of the studio's "top priority projects" such as a live-action adaptation of Pinocchio and the untitled third Sherlock Holmes film. In 2016, the company received a first look deal with Sonar Entertainment (now known as Halcyon Studios). The company did not use an on-screen logo until a decade later.

1st Logo (January 17, 2020-)

Visuals: On a white wall with what appears to be three pipes next to each other, there is a yellow sign (with the Los Angeles notice at the bottom of it) painted on the far left showing two stick figures running, the first one wearing a straitjacket with floating music notes and bubbles, and the second one chasing with a net and wearing a nurse outfit, with the company name stacked and painted underneath the sign in a stencil-like font.

Variant: On TV series, the logo is in a scope ratio.

Technique: A live-action photograph.

Audio: None or the closing theme.

Availability: It debuted at the end of Dolittle and later appeared on the TV series Perry Mason and Sweet Tooth.

2nd Logo (April 14-May 26, 2024)

Visuals: Each episode of The Sympathizer gives a different image of the logo from before, as a sign/label.

Variants:

  • "Death Wish": A rusty concrete plate surface is shown containing two people: one in a pink jacket and on a red motorcycle, biking away to the top left, and a man in turquoise wearing a backpack. The sign, with the company name underneath the stick figure image, is shown on the right section of the screen.
  • "Good Little Asian": The company name and the stick figure image are shown as a neon sign at night, with a smiley face on top and the text "Est. 2010" at the bottom.
  • "Love It or Leave It": A man is reading a book at a red room with stylish jungle leaves and the logo.
  • "Give Us Some Good Lines": There's a script of The Hamlet by Nicos Damianos with the sign on it. A finger thumb is seen at the left.
  • "All for One": Inside the white room, a flower bouquet is seen with the logo's label and the label of Congressman Ned Godwin.
  • "The Oriental Mode of Destruction": The sign is seen as a badge on the blue clothing.
  • "Endings Are Hard, Aren't They?": Two arrows with the company name and stick figures are seen on the door. The company's initials can be also seen on the door knobs.

Technique: A live-action photograph with digital editing.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: The logo debuted on the HBO miniseries The Sympathizer.
