Background
Tauro Video was a videoediting company created by the Salviani brothers in 1986. It had a catalog of films specialised in Europe and the USA, and some nationality movies. It edited Castillian films, and also had a children's division. In 1987, it started to create another division under the name Videosonic S.A., which dedicated to European films (mostly Italian), including various blue French and Italian movies, which originate from the Barba Azul collection. During it's closure due to hyperinflation, the Salviani brothers reopened the company constituing the new society Editora Tauro Video S.A. in February 7th of 1992, effectively Wednesday 19 of the same month. During this stage, Tauro would majorly edit telefilms and re-editions of classic movies from their old catalog.
1st Logo (1986-Late 1980s)
Visuals: On a sparkling blue space background with fog subsequently appearing, after a while, curvy lines that seem to be part of an outlined abstract eye with three cutouts, the twos in the left and right portions and one in the middle in brick red start zooming in. Then, a circle with an inner cutout in said color zooms in, then later turns white. The text "TAURO viDeo" subsequently slides from the left, stopping at the middle.
Technique: Motion-controlled animation and possible scanimation.
Audio: A windy, ominous sci-fi sound which holds midway until it segues to a custom rock-like theme, with an announcer saying: "Tauro Video, presenta".
Availability: Seen on it's early releases, and mostly some Cannon films.
2nd Logo (Late 1980s)
Visuals: On a navy background, two perspective cornflower blue grids appear from the above and below, and they stretch until they touch their points. After that, they stretch out to the middle, and the background goes dark. A cyan "V" made of lines then flip and zoom in, with trails following it. It then changes to various horizontal line segments, then the vertical ones, outlined cubes and finally, diamonds. The logo then zooms in and appears stretched out, before changing back to it's corresponding size, while in the meantime, it flips in, then the background turns purple. The logo consists of the curvy lines from before, with the two upper ones in red, two lower ones in blue, the circle with the inner cutout is green, and the rest is filled in white. The background alongside the logo flip horizontally to reveal that it's in a blue background. The flip turns it into a gray background, with a magenta-blue gradient oval zoom in. The outline of it in black zooms in, then the line segments, which wipe in. Then, three words zoom in varying from position one by one. After that, it reveals to be "TAURO" in a connected font with two diagonal cutouts. "Video" then flips in behind the oval, and positions over the "R". The rest of it zooms out partially, where a drop shadow follows it. It moves from the top-right portion, then to the top-left. Then, the words "la nueva forma de ver video" wipe over in a stacked format.
Technique: Computer animation.
Audio: A mixed rock-like theme, with an announcer saying after the logo zooms out; "Tauro Video. La nueva forma, de ver video."
Availability: Seen on late releases before it's demise.
3rd Logo (1992-Mid 1990s?)
Visuals: There is a tan marble background, where the logo is seen in front of it. This consists of a blue metallic acute triangle, with "TAURO" in blue metallic and in the same font (albeit the cutouts), with shades of red, green and yellow on the "O", with rip marks over the top-right corner of it. Below it is "VIDEO" with two thin horizontal lines surrounding it, both in blue metallic. This is later wiped out by a page wiping effect.
Technique: Computer animation.
Audio: A soft techno theme with an announcer saying the company name.
Availability: Seen on releases in collaboration with Lax Video.
4th Logo (1992-Mid 1990s?)
Visuals: On a black background, there is a downward view of a model of the previous logo. As it pans through the text, the screen zooms out from view as it is placed into view. The words "VIDEO" from before spin over from below, in which then positions behind the text, with the horizontal lines accompanying it. A gold shooting star forms itself from the "T" and orbits the paths of the text, before reaching the top-right corner, forming the rip marks and the red, green and yellow shades. Then, the metallic color endlessly scrolls.
Technique: Computer animation.
Audio: A synth fanfare with 3 bell dings in sync with the fanfare. This later ends with a synth hit-like sound, when the shooting star hits the top-right corner. Then, an announcer says: "Tauro Video, presenta".
Availability: Seen on its last releases before it's actual demise.
