Background

TMW Media Group was a producer and distributor of educational video materials during the 1990s. Its library is now owned by Cerebellum Corporation.


1st Logo (1990s)


Visuals: On a white background, We see a drawing of Earth. Then the word "TMW" in a Times New Roman font breaks the Earth. Then "MEDIA GROUP" in a Helvetica font slides right. And then a magnifying glass appears.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A synthesized note, which has been used as a sound effect in many media.

2nd Logo (Late 1990s-)


Visuals: We see the earth zoom out from outer space, as a magnifying glass appears and briefly distorts the earth's image before revealing itself as a sunburst appears from the left side of the earth. The sunburst flashes, after which the earth and magnifying glass change from 3D to 2D images, and the TMW letters appear in red. Below are the words "media group" in black.

Technique: CGI animation transitioning into 2D visuals.

Audio: A triumphant synth fanfare.
