Background

TMW Media Group was a producer and distributor of educational video materials during the 1990s. Its library is now owned by Cerebellum Corporation.

1st Logo (1990s)


Visuals: On a white background, there is a picture of Earth. Then, the word "TMW" in a Times New Roman font appears while breaking the Earth, and "MEDIA GROUP" in a Helvetica font slides to the right. Finally, a magnifying glass appears and slides to the upper corner of the "T".

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A synthesized note, which has been used as a sound effect in many media.

2nd Logo (Late 1990s-)

Visuals: There is the earth zooming out from outer space, as a magnifying glass appears and briefly distorts the earth's image before revealing itself while a sunburst appears from the left side of the earth. The sunburst flashes, after which the earth and magnifying glass change from 3D to 2D images, and the TMW letters appear in red. Below are the words "media group" in black.

Technique: CGI animation transitioning into 2D visuals.

Audio: A triumphant synth fanfare.
