Background

THG Video was originally formed in 1983 to released select Taft (-Hardie), Worldvision, and Hanna-Barbera product on VHS in Australia, which "THG" is an abbreviation for its then-current owner "Taft-Hardie Group" and its titles were distributed by CIC-Taft Video. It was later renamed to "Taft Video" in 1987.

Logo (1983-1988)

Visuals: On a blue background, the words "THG VIDEO" flip and zoom in to us in a futuristic font.

Variant: A still version exists where the "THG" letters are larger. It was connected to the logo of CIC-Taft Video.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on tapes released by the company, such as The Three Musketeers and The Smurfs. The variant where it was connected to the CIC-Taft intro was seen on Future Schlock.
