Background

Zespół Filmowy Zodiak, also known later as Studio Filmowe Zodiak was a Polish film studio founded on March 1, 1980, with Jerzy Hoffman being the artistic director and Leszek Bajer as the literary director of the studio respectively. The company was liquidated in 1997.

Visuals: On a blue starry background, there is all of the zodiac signs in white zooming at us one by one. When one zodiac sign appears (excluding the first one), a ring emits behind the symbol. These zodiac signs include in order:

  • Aries
  • Taurus
  • Gemini
  • Cancer
  • Leo
  • Virgo
  • Libra
  • Scorpio
  • Sagittarius
  • Capricorn
  • Aquarius
  • Pisces

When the Pisces symbol gets close enough, the line in the center stretches inwards and outwards, forming the company's name, and the word "PRZEDSTAWIA" all stacked on top of each other.

Variants:

  • Most of the variants have different tones, such as blue, sepia, B&W, light green, dark green, etc.
  • From 1991 and onwards, the text "Zespół Filmowy", is replaced with the text "Studio Filmowe".
  • Soviet prints exist, where the words "ПРОИЗВОДСТВО ТВОРЧЕСКОГО КОЛЛЕКТИВА ЗОДИАК ПОЛЬША" on a black background fade in at the end.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A quiet bell sound, followed by a high-pitched breeze, ending with a gong chime.

Availability: It was seen on multiple films, such as: Znachor, Okolice Spokojego Morza, Bilek, Karate Po Polsku, and others.
