Background

Space TV was a Canadian channel launched on October 17, 1997 under the ownership of CHUM Limited, which was taken over by CTV in 2007, later operated by Bell Media after it replaced CTV in 2011. The channel was renamed to CTV Sci-Fi Channel on September 12, 2019.

1st Logo (2004-2005)

Visuals: The Space logo appears during the ending credits.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: Ending theme.

Availability: Appears on seasons 1-2 of Tripping the Rift.

2nd Logo (2005-2013)

Visuals: There is the then-current Space logo slowly zooming out, surrounded by electronic grid and green sparks. The grid is removed after a second.

Variant: A still print version exists on several shows.

Technique: CGI by Rubberpixel, who was responsible for Space's on-air identity from 2005.

Audio: Computer jingles and beeps of all kinds. None for the still version.

Availability: Appears on Defying Gravity, Sanctuary, and other original broadcasting. The still print version appeared on the third season of Tripping the Rift.

Final Note

This was replaced by the Bell Media logo since 2013.
