Sound Venture Productions

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Logo (July 10, 1992-2009)

Visuals: On a white background, a blue-outlined transparent square with an "S" in the middle swings into the left, while a red square with a white "V" in the center follows suit to the right. The text "S O U N D VENTURE" flips in letter-by-letter underneath the "SV" design, while a red CGI triangle then spins in underneath.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An ethereal synth theme with some wind and bang sounds as the boxes swing in, a series of plinks as the company name appears, and a soft bang as the triangle stops moving.

Availability: Can be seen on the Just for Kids VHS release of The Tin Soldier. It can also be seen on For Better or For Worse and on a few TV movies.

2nd Logo (1996-December 26, 2003)

Visuals: On a white background is a television set with rabbit ears and two buttons drawn in red lining with a more stylized version of the “SV” logo from above inside of it. The text "SOUND VENTURE" are shown below with a red triangle underneath them and a copyright disclaimer below everything. The whole logo “waves” similarly to a flag.

Variants:

  • On The Toy Castle, a website link for “www.thetoycastle.com” is displayed underneath the triangle with the copyright year and “Toy Castle Productions Inc.” below that.
    • Later seasons have the logo surrounded by all the other logos of the show’s sponsors.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Painting Pictures/J'aime la Peinture on CBC Playground and on The Toy Castle which hasn’t aired since 2006.
