ScrewAttack Entertainment

Background

ScrewAttack Entertainment, commonly shortened as just ScrewAttack, was an entertainment website that was founded in February 2006 by Craig Skistimas and Tom Hanley, and was incorporated in Dallas, Texas. The website focused on hosting various video game-related Machinimas and reviews, most famously James Rolfe's The Angry Video Game Nerd and ScrewAttack's own series, DEATH BATTLE!. On November 2015, ScrewAttack would be bought by Rooster Teeth, effectively turning it into a subsidiary. In February 2019, the website would disband the ScrewAttack name entirely in favor of the new DEATH BATTLE! group.

1st Logo (February-August 2006)

Logo: On a black background, we see a grungy black-and-white picture of a pair of headphones. A multicolored circle with a poorly drawn yellow lightning bolt infront of it is seen inside the headphones. The following text is seen below the logo:

SCREWATTACK.COM
Game On!

Trivia: The logo and name are based off the screw attack ability from the Metroid series of games.

Variant: In some cases, "Game On!" is replaced with "WHERE GAMERS GO TO BE HEARD".

FX/SFX: The logo slowly zooming in, or none.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Very rare. Was only seen on early 2006 episodes of ScrewAttack Video Game Vault, along with the variant.

2nd Logo (September? 2006-2011)

Logo: On a black/space background with blue circles flying around, a silver lightning bolt flies from above, spins around multiple times, and moves to the center of the screen, which causes speed lines and rings to appear in the background. Then, the pair of headphones from the last logo flies in from above, covering the lightning bolt. Finally, SCREWATTACK.COM is seen in a silver color. The text then flies infront of the screen, seguing into the video.

FX/SFX: Neatly done CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: TBA

Availability: Rare. Seen on later episodes of ScrewAttack Video Game Vault, and may have also been seen on other ScrewAttack productions. It can also be seen very briefly on the AVGN episode "Ghostbusters Part 2".
