Background

Scream Factory is Shout! Factory's label that releases horror movies on DVD, which started in 2012.

(2012- )

Logo: Against some foggy clouds in a supposedly abandoned area, the Scream Factory logo (which looks like Shout! Factory's logo, albeit in the style of gravestones) zoom out very quickly away from the viewer. The zooming comes to halt once a creepy skull rises from "the graves." It slowly creeps out, then pounces out at an extreme speed. His nose eventually engulfs the screen.

Technique: The zooming of the logo and the skull, which are done very poorly. The effects are very choppy, though this could be an intentional throwback to classic horror films and B-movies, as this logo is done badly and is even in black-and-white.

Music/Sounds: A low-pitched and slowed-down version of the sound of a screaming woman (taken from the 1946 film Great Expectations), and a "whoosh" sound from the skeleton.

Availability: Common. Can be seen on releases by the Scream Factory label.
