Background

Sabah International, also known as Sabah CDs, is a home entertainment distributor from Peshawar, Pakistan largely specialized in Pashto-language films.

1st Logo (1980s)

Visuals: On a black background, the word "SABAH" is shown in the style of an arc, flashing in multiple colors. Below is "INT" and "PESHAWAR", similarly flashing like the above text. At the bottom, "PH217777" is shown in red.

Technique: Early computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]

2nd Logo (2000s)

Visuals: On a black background is the multicolored word "SABAH" spinning and flipping around except for the letter "H", with "PEAHAWAR" and "PH 217777" moving below in similar manners. The word "CDs" rotates 180 degrees surrounding the logo and then places itself near the center. The whole logo zooms in.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A somewhat dramatic strings and drums entry, followed by a melodic theme with the same instruments, which is abruptly cut at the end once the warning screen appears.

Availability: Seen on Pashto VCDs and DVDs, such as Da Shago and Loor Da Shaitan.

3rd Logo (Late 2000s)

Visuals: On a dark blue background, the names of the company appear rotating from the center to the left, with the Pashto writing for "SABAH" above and the English names "SABAH INTERNATIONAL" and "PESHAWAR" in white below, along with the phone number. Multiple circling white lights are shown moving around the logo. The logo zooms out, before it rotates away.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as before, but it has been shortened.

Availability: Seen on their DVD of Azab.
