Background

ReviewTechUSA is the YouTube channel of Richard "Rich" Masucci, who mostly focuses on covering gaming news. Although as of recently he's gone into real-life news as well as surrounding the media.

1st Logo (January 19, 2012-October 8, 2017)

Visuals: On a black background, there is an image of a young man with brown hair wearing a checkered shirt with a gray T-shirt underneath. He has a tired expression on his face. On the left is the "REVIEWTECHUSA" logo, consisting of a computer setup styled like the American flag with the channel's name below, the slogan "YOUR #1 SOURCE FOR CLASSIC AND MODERN GAME/TECH REVIEWS" and social media icons below that. An explosion scene appears behind him.

Early Variant: On the first upload to feature this intro - "My "New" News Intro...", the MegaUpload logo appears at the bottom. However, it was immediately removed once the site was seized by the FBI.

Later Variant: Beginning on October 15, 2013, the original logo for the channel was replaced with a simple REVIEWTECHUSA logo, once again stylized like the American flag.

Trivia: Rich has stated in the video "WHO THE F*#K IS THIS GUY!?!?" that the man is not him, but Matt Scullin - one of his high-school friends. He was also the one who initially did the trademark sound of the intro.

Technique: Appears to be CGI for the explosion.

Audio: A small scat riff performed by Rich - which goes: "Skibidi Bop Mm Dada!" (the spelling of the sound is commonly debated) before an explosion sound plays. It is based on the one performed by him in an early video titled "THE INTERNET = NO PRIVACY?!?!?!?".

Availability:

  • First appeared on "My "New" News Intro...", although the first standard video to feature it was "Naughty Dog Preps For Next Gen/PS Vita 3G Price Plans" and the last was "Newegg Lost A Customer!".
  • The later variant first appeared on "UK Customer Gets Free PS4 Due To ShopTo Gaffe" and last appeared on "Nintendo Is Ramping Up Switch Production To 2 Million Consoles A Month".

Legacy: A well-known intro of the YouTube gaming community, the "Skibidi Bop Mm Dada!" became a popular meme over the years.

2nd Logo (October 8, 2017-)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the same man from before, except this time in a cartoony art style. He is looking drowsy (like in the first logo) with one of his eyes shut and one semi-shut. He has his hand showing with his index finger in the air, while air bubbles appear near his mouth. His shirt collar and inner shirt are showing. On the bottom is the text "ReviewTech" in a retro-style font, a red star with a white outline, and "USA", once again stylized like the American flag. An explosion effect appears on the "USA" part of the logo, which causes the man to look all dazed from the smoke, and his finger catches alight.

Technique: Simple animation.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: First appeared on "Welcome To The New ReviewTechUSA Format" with the first proper video using it being "SNES Classic Unboxing" and has appeared on every video on the channel since.
