AMC Theatres is an American movie theater chain, founded in 1920 in Missouri, United States. Since 2016, they are the largest global film exhibitor. AMC and competitor Regal Cinemas co-founded and previously owned the movie studio Open Road Films.

Regal Entertainment Group is a major US cinema chain. Founded in 1989 as Regal Cinemas (its first location, the seven-screen Searstown Cinema in Titusville, Florida, was acquired from Orange State Theatres as a twin before the end of the year and opened the following March), within years they would become the owners of Edwards Theaters and United Artists Theaters. Regal, and rival AMC Theatres, were owners of the joint venture Open Road Films from its founding in 2011, up to 2017.

Warner Village Cinemas was a European multiplex cinema chain that combined Warner Bros. Cinemas with Village Cinemas. Their locations were primarily based in the United Kingdom, with other locations in countries like Germany and Italy. The chain was created in 1996 and expanded for several years, but in the 2000s, other cinema chains bought and re-branded their locations, including Vue Cinemas.

Pearl & Dean is a British cinema advertising company, founded by Charles and Ernie Pearl, and Robert "Bob" Dean. Today, the company is owned by Willowbrook Investments Ltd., and controls advertising at many UK cinema sites.
