Background

Parkit Films is an Indonesian production company founded by Raam Punjabi in 1980 and it was dissolved in 1994. He also formed Multivision Plus in 1990.

1st Logo (December 29, 1980-July 16, 1985)

Visuals: On a space background, three TV-tube shaped outlines, with each different colors, come out one by one, with the last one reveals PF in red on a full yellow-ish white (depending on the quality) shape. And then, the text "P.T. PARKIT FILMS" in red fades in beside the logo, and "Mempersembahkan" on white script font writes itself below the former text.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A vibraphone arpeggio as the logo forms, followed by timpani drums ending in a bombastic note. But in most cases, none or the opening theme of the movie.

Audio Variant: On Warkop DKI films, a short jingle based on the theme music of the film series is heard.

Availability: Seen on early Warkop DKI films and other films released by the company from the era such as Pokoknya Beres and Serbuan Halilinatar.

2nd Logo (July 4, 1986-1994)

Visuals: On a black background, the lined red-and-white "PF" (in a font similar to Bauhaus) wipes in, then a red-and-white tube wipes in around the logotype. When the tube finishes wiping in, it flashes. "Parkit Films" in a blue script font writes itself onscreen below, then either "mempersembahkan" or "presents" appears next to it.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A futuristic, electronic synth fanfare with zaps and percussions as the text appears.

Audio Variants:

  • Sometimes, the opening theme of the film plays.
  • On Jangan Bilang Siapa-Siapa, a dramatic synth sting featuring bells tolling play after the flash.

Availability: Can be seen on Segitiga Emas, Jangan Bilang Siapa-Siapa, The Stabilizer, among many others.
