Palm Tree Productions

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Background

This is the vanity plate of Robin Schiff. It was previously known as Robin Schiff Productions.

1st Logo (2003-February 10, 2005)

Visuals: Same as the Robin Schiff Productions logo, but the illustration is now completely formed and is a still image, and the name now says "Palm Tree Productions" in the Apache font.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None. On Jack's House, the 1997 20th Century Fox Television music begins on this logo.

Availability: Seen on the failed pilot to Jack's House and the TV film Romy & Michele: In the Beginning.

2nd Logo (May 24-July 5, 2005)

Visuals: Over a light butterscotch-light yellow double-gradient background, there are the palm trees, as well as the plant, from before, with the trees sparkling on top as orange shadows merge behind them. As the environment wipes in from the top, the text "PALM TREE" writes in with a long tail on the "R". The spaced-out text "P R O D U C T I O N S" fades in, followed by "in association with" in small text below. The trees continue to sparkle as a white burst of light with double-lined rays appears behind the background.

Technique: 2D computer animation by WunderFilm.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on the short-lived The Bad Girl’s Guide.
