Background

The Office of Radio and Television of Niger is a Nigerien organization that operates both its radio network, Voix du Sahel (known as Radio Niger until May 7, 1974) and its television network, Télé Sahel. ORTN was founded on February 11, 1967.

Logo (1982)

Visuals: Over a green background is the ORTN logo, which consists of a television outline with a large stylized "O" in black, green and orange with the stylized letters "rtn" in it with a shield-like symbol that closely resembles the shield of the coat of arms of Niger on the bottom. Between the ORTN logo are "l'Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision du Niger" and "présente:", both in the Peignot typeface.
