Millar Gough Ink, LLC. (doing business as Millar Gough Ink and previously known from 1995 to 1997 as Chiller Productions) is an American television and film production company who are known from having produced television series, founded in 1995 by Miles Millar and Alfred Gough.

1st Logo (October 12, 1999-November 10, 2011)

Logo: In an office setting, at the forefront, we see a bottle filled with orange red ink in it labeled with the company name in an Impact font colored in gold, with only the bottom half of "INK" in white. After one of the music variants are heard, a hammer (which, if you look at the bottle very closely, you can see a hammer coming down as seen in the reflection of the bottle) swings down and breaks the bottle, causing the ink in it to spread everywhere, covering up the whole screen.

Variants:

  • There exists an open-matte version of the logo.
  • An less-cropped version of the logo exists.

FX/SFX: Live-action animation.

Music/Sounds: Depending on the variant:

  • 1999-2000: The closing theme of the show, along with the splattering sound.
  • 2001-2002: Just the sound of a bottle breaking.
  • February 2002-May 2002: An odd, three-note piano tune.
  • 2002-2011: A reverberating cartoon ditty.

All music variants end with the bottle breaking sound or the splattering sound.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • On the Smallville season 1 episodes "X-Ray" and "Hug", the logo is silent.
  • On early season 2 episodes of Smallville, the reverberating cartoon ditty is somewhat slightly quieter.
  • Original airings use a generic theme and a voice over.

Availability: Common. First seen on The Strip. Also later seen on Smallville and the 2011 reboot of Charlie's Angels. It also made an appearance on the 2006 TV pilot of Aquaman. This doesn't appear on films or 1990s television series such as Bugs, which has the previous company's logo instead.

2nd Logo (November 15, 2015-)

Logo: On a black background, we see the stacked red words "MILLAR GOUGH" in a Helvetica Neue font. To the right of it is a beaker with a black water-drop in it, and inside the water-drop, we see the text "INK".

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None, or the ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Into the Badlands, The Shannara Chronicles and the Addams Family-spin off Netflix series Wednesday.
