Background

Metro 77 was an Indonesian film production company founded in 1976. It was closed in possibly 1979.

1st Logo (1976)

Visuals: On a blue background, there is a yellow crosshair with "77" on center. Surrounding it is the arched text in yellow reading "METRO", and below are an ear of rice and a cotton branch.

Technique: A still printed image.

Audio: A trumpet fanfare.

Availability: It's seen on Naga Merah.

2nd Logo (1978-August 17, 1979)

Visuals: The logo starts with rippling yellow circles on a red background as two yellow lines wipe in from the right and the top of the screen respectively, forming a cross. The circles and cross then shrink into the crosshair from before. After that, a blue rounded rectangle (with a white border) appears behind the crosshair, as "METRO" appears surrounding the crosshair in an arched font, and the rice and cotton from the previous logo but in color appears below the crosshair. Finally, "77" in red appears on the center of the crosshair.

Technique: 2D cel animation.

Audio: A gunshot is heard at the start, which then segues into a bombastic synth fanfare, which was also used on the Leuser Film logo, is heard.
