Logo (1980s-Late 1990s)

Visuals: The camera slowly zooms out over a blue square with rounded edges with a white minimalistic silhouette of a centaur with a bow. Below is "KYRON" in black and in a corporate font. The "R" is cut off by a quarter. Below the "O" is "HOME VIDEO" in very small letters, and a registered mark on a corner of the "N". The logo then cuts to a montage of logos from other companies, itself followed by the warning screen.

Variants:

  • A few videos have the logo still.
  • After the multi-logo and warning montages, the camera moves downwards and eases back quickly to show the logo once more. After a few seconds, it shows a screen of the off-air bars with the logo and it has numbers which count down. After they count down, it goes either straight to the previews or the other logos from the companies that distributed the movie.

Technique: A simple zoom-out.

Audio: "Enigma" by Tim Souster (specifically, the "2nd" one). The music plays throughout the multi-logo montage, warning screen and the logo's second appearance. On the logo's first appearance, there is also a male announcer that says the company name in English. He would say something in Spanish over the first logo in the multi-logo montage, and sometimes the names of other companies that appear (also in Spanish) when said logos are shown. On the logo's second appearance, the announcer would say the company name in Spanish. Beeping sounds are heard on the countdown screen.

Availability: Seen on tapes from Colombia, including those of Warner Bros. and CIC Video. Such titles include Gremlins, Octopussy, Runaway Train, and The Land Before Time.
