Background

This label was created by the Carden and Cherry advertising agency for use on videos featuring their characters - specifically those portrayed by comedian Jim Varney. Specifically, the label was named for the catchphrase of Varney's most famous character, Ernest P. Worrell.

Logo (1986-1992)

Visuals: On a black/dark gray gradient background, the text "KnoWhutImean?" in a large, tall serif font set in pink slides from the right. Simultaneously, the text "HOME VIDEO" in a smaller sans-serif font, also in pink, slides from the left. Both stop in the center of the screen, and afterwards, two blue horizontal lines are drawn both above and below the text, each one starting at the opposite side from each other. "PRESENTS" in a white sans-serif font fades in below the rest of the logo at the same time, and the logo remains on-screen for a few more seconds until it fades out.

Technique: Scanimate.

Audio: A slow synthesized jingle with a drum machine.

Availability: Appeared on the VHS release of Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloom Beam, as well as some of Carden and Cherry's direct-to-video releases such as Ernest's Greatest Hits and Hey Vern, Win $10,000.
