Background

IDW Entertainment is a division of comic book publishers IDW that produces and distributes franchise content ranging from series to features to interactive experiences.

1st Logo (2016-2017)

Visuals: There is picturs of IDW comics which it zooms out with a flash of light to reveal that its inside a ticket and the CGI letters "I", "D" and "W" appearing afterwards with the bar reading "ENTERTAINMENT" on it appears after the letters forming the logo reading "IDW ENTERTAINMENT" with the whole logo in silver.

Variant: On Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency the logo is still and shares the screen with the Ideate Media and the Circle of Confusion logos.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on the first two seasons of Wynonna Earp and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.


2nd Logo (2018-2021)

Visuals: On a black background is lines shining on the same letters which is actually the text "IDW" from before appearing in a different font, then a light blue smoke appears on the letter "D" rising inside expanding to the two letters on the left and right as the background rises to reveal the logo in a dark grey background. As it zooms out a bit the word "ENTERTAINMENT" appearing underneath the letters above woth some smoke coming from the bottom right of the screen

Variants:

  • A short version of this logo exists on season 3 of Wynonna Earp.
  • On the final season of Wynonna Earp, the logo is still with the letters almost separate with the word "ENTERTAINMENT" appearing in a different font below with the text above reading "Produced in Association With" on it.

Technique: CGI with the logo rising.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on the last two seasons of Wynonna Earp and later appeared on October Faction.


3rd Logo (2019-)


Visuals: On a black background is the word "IDW" from before now in white with the word "ENTERTAINMENT" also in a different font below the text.

Variant: On Locke & Key the word "IDW" is bigger with the text below appears smaller.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: First appeared on V-Wars and later appeared on Locke & Key and Surfside Girls.
