Logo (September 29, 1985-January 1, 2003)

Visuals: On a blue background, there is a white bar on the top, reading "HENRY" on one side, and "JOHN" on the other. In the middle is "WINKLER" on one side, and "RICH" on the other. On the bottom is another white bar with "P R O D U C T I O N S". In the middle of the logo is a drawing tool which resemble a slash mark between the names.

Variants:

  • Starting with season 2 of MacGyver, the logo fades out on the blue background, and is replaced with the words "In Association With".
  • On the pilot of MacGyver, the logo is against a live-action shot of MacGyver working some light switches to send a sort of Morse Code (this likely being from a scene in the episode proper).
  • On the MacGyver episode "The Golden Triangle", the logo is on a black background instead of its usual blue.

Technique: None. Fading effects for the "IAW" variant.
