Background

This was the production company of Henry Winkler (who later had partnerships with Ann Daniels and Michael Levitt and had his own solo company, Fair Dinkum Productions) and John Rich.

Logo (September 29, 1985-January 1, 2003)

Visuals: On a blue background, 2 white bars are seen, with the top reading "HENRY" on one side, and "JOHN" on the other, and the bottom reading "P R O D U C T I O N S".. In the middle is the larger words "WINKLER" on one side, and "RICH" on the other, and a thin triangle slanted right in between the names like a slash, with cote-outs along the white bars.

Variants:

  • Starting with season 2 of MacGyver, the logo fades out on the blue background, then replaced with the words "In Association With".
  • On the pilot of MacGyver, the logo is against a live-action shot of MacGyver working some light switches to send a sort of Morse Code (this likely being from a scene in the episode proper).
  • On the MacGyver episode "The Golden Triangle", the logo is on a black background instead of its usual blue.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: It was last seen on MacGyver on Sleuth (now Cloo) and DVD and the TV movies MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis, MacGyver: Trail to Doomsday, and Young MacGyver.
