From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Tag (1976?-2003)

Visuals: Simply the 1976 Ford logo on a black background.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: None or the ending theme of the commercial.

Availability: Seen on commercials from the time frame.

2nd Tag (1998-2003)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a blue metallic rectangle, with the text "Built" and "to Last" atop and beneath the rectangle, with a lighter streak and the Ford logo in the middle. The url "www.ford.com" can be seen below. The logo shines.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An announcer saying "Ford, Built to Last", often playing over the ending theme of the commercial. Sometimes "Ford" is omitted-mostly, in this version, a different announcer is heard, or only the ending theme is heard.

Audio Varians: On original CBS airings of the two-part season 10 finale of Murphy Brown, titled "Never Can Say Goodbye", a female announcer (possibly Candice Bergen, who also stars as the titular character) says "This special episode of Murphy Brown is sponsored exclusively by Ford Division, maker of a full line of vehicles designed to fit your life and built to last" or "This special episode of Murphy Brown is sponsored exclusively by Ford Division. Wherever you go in life, Ford has a vehicle that will get you there. Ford, built to last".

Availability: Seen on commercials from the time frame.

3rd Tag (2003-2018)

Visuals: Simply the 2003 Ford logo on a white or black background, with the company's URL below in gray.

Trivia: This version of the Ford logo was created for their 100th anniversary; despite being phased out in 2017, it is still used as a badge in their products.

Variants:

  • For a short time time from 2010 to 2012, the "Feel the difference" tagline used by the European division is used, set in Ford's corporate font.
  • Starting in 2012, "Go Further" is seen underneath the logo; sometimes with the company's URL below.
    • A Spanish variant exists, where "Llega Más Lejos" (the direct translation of "Go Further") is used instead.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None or the ending theme of the commercial.

Availability: Seen on commercials from the time frame.

4th Tag (2002-2010)

Visuals: On a blue-black gradient background, the Ford badge from the previous logo is seen with "Feel the difference" below, sometimes localized.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, it can be animated where the Ford badge rotates into place.
  • In it's first year of use, the Ford badge and tagline were different, until 2003 when the Ford badge was updated, while the previous tagline and it's localized versions remained in use until 2006.
  • On Romanian commercials for the Ford Fiesta, the text "FordFiesta" appears sandwiched between the Ford logo and tagline.
  • Later commercials starting in 2006 have a orange gradient instead. Sometimes, this can be animated where the background changes from an blue-black gradient background to an orange one while the Ford badge rotates into place.
  • A shortened version of the animated version of the above variant also exists where it's the last few seconds of the Ford badge rotating into place.

Technique: A still, digital graphic. Sometimes CGI for the Ford badge for the animated variants.

Audio: An guitar-riff theme for the 2006 version, sometimes none or the ending theme of the commercial instead.

Audio Variant: Sometimes on the German commercials from the time, on the 2006 animated version with the guitar-riff theme, an German announcer is heard saying "Ford. Feel the difference." over it.

Availability: Seen on European commercials from the time frame.
