Background

FGTeeV (short for "The Family Gaming Team") is an American YouTube channel created in May 2013 by Vincent (Known on-screen as "FGTeeV Duddy") and Samantha Carter (Known on-screen as "FGTeeV Moomy) and features their children - Lexi, Mike, Chase and Shawn, and Vincent playing various video games. Originally a spin-off to their existing channel TheSkylanderBoy AndGirl that focused on non-Skylanders related content, it has since become their main channel, alongside their vlogging channel FV FAMILY (FUNnel Vision).

The channel is owned by Laffter, Inc., a holding company created by the Carters.

1st Logo (2013-2018)

Logo: On a white background, we see the FGTeeV logo, consisting of a square featuring a yellow/white swirl with Mii heads of the Carter family around the corners, and the channel's name in the middle, spin onto the screen rather quickly. The logo then ripples and fades out.

Early Variant: The intro originally had "FGTeeV" on it, before it was changed to the full "The Family Gaming Team" name sometime in mid-2013.

Variants: Starting in 2015, a Mii head of their then-recently born son Shawn Carter was added to the top middle of the screen, next to Samantha and Vincent.

Technique: Simple transition effects.

Music/Sounds: We hear the family say "It's FGTeeV!", followed by Vincent doing a strange rippling sound effect when the logo ripples out.

Availability: Appeared on all FGTeeV videos up until 2018.

1st Logo (2018-2020)

Logo: Similar to the original logo, the original icon spins onto the screen but this time, it comes close before zooming out, showcasing the current FGTeeV logo in place of the previously added text on the icon. The logo then ripples out, as usual.

Later Variant: Beginning in 2019, the icon was changed to feature original drawn head icons of the Carter family instead of the previously used Mii heads. This is likely because the channel started to sell official merchandise and toys around this time, and to avoid any legal issues with Nintendo. Oreo the Dog is also added to the icon.

Technique: Same as the previous logo, with the addition of the logo zooming out.

Music/Sounds: Same as the previous logo, although the strange ripple sound is re-recorded, and a

Availability: Appeared on all FGTeeV videos up until 2018.

3rd Logo (2020-present)

Logo: We see the FGTeeV logo text appearing on the screen. The screen then glitches as the text spins and lands on the game controller, forming the logo with sparks coming out.

Later Variant: On current videos, the logo is shortened to only a second, featuring the text spinning onto the controller.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A sample of the song "Word Up", by Donell Mase.

Availability: Appears on the channel's current videos.
