Background: WITF is a PBS affiliate located in Harrisburg, Lancaster, and York, Pennsylvania.

1st Logo

(1987-1994)

Logo: We see an orange dot against a white background. "WITF", colored black, flies in towards the viewer at a fast pace, with the "I" underneath the dot. "Harrisburg" and "Presents" fade in below.

FX/SFX: The logo flying in.

Music/Sounds: An upbeat synth-pop tune.

Availability: At the start of Big Comfy Couch episodes from this era on PBS.

Editor's Note: The zooming in of "WITF" could put people off.

2nd Logo

(1990-1996)

Logo: On a background of red, green, and blue stripes going diagonal, we see a small "WITF 33 HARRISBURG" on a blue diamond in the far right.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: In tandem with the 1st and 3rd logos, was seen on Computer Chronicles, often replacing the KCSM logo. (There may be episodes that have both the KCSM and WITF logos at the start of the show, but in-credit texts were at the end)

Editor's Note: None, it's just boring.

3rd Logo

(1994-1998)FX/SFX: The spotlight shining on the logo.

Music/Sounds: A mellow piano and saxophone tune, somewhat in the style of Kenny G.

Availability: At the start of Big Comfy Couch episodes on PBS from this era.

Editor's Note: None.

4th Logo

(1998-2000)Logo: Against a black background, a picture of the Earth zooms away from the viewer, untilting itself as it does so, uncovering the same WITF logo colored steel gray this time and dotting the "I". A light passes below as "Harrisburg" fades in.

FX/SFX: The Earth zooming out, the light passing below.

Music/Sounds: A quick synth-techno tune.

Availability: Like the previous logo, this is also seen at the end ofBig Comfy Couchepisodes on PBS from this era (Nashville Public TV now produces the show in the U.S.).
