Background

Video-Rodven was a Latin American video distributor, owned by the now-defunct Rodven Records. The company released VHS and Beta tapes in Colombia and Venezuela. In Venezuela, they distributed Disney videotapes in the late '80s/early '90s through their VeneVista Video banner.

1st Logo (Mid 80's-Early 1990's [Colombia]/Early 2000s [Venezuela])

Visuals: Over a starry space background, there are two pairs of lasers flying towards the center, which makes the rainbow TV-tube shape with the blue glow, which zooms in to cover up the background, then clips from various movies like Looney Tunes and 10in TV-tube shapes slide horizontally, from left to right; after that, the TV-tube shape zooms out and flies to the near-top, causing to create 3 more rainbow TV-tube shapes to rearrange in the Rodven Records logo-like formation, then they shoot black/pink lasers(the glow around TV-tubes briefly intensifies when they happen) to make "video-rodven" in the dark-blue font with the blue glow in the following order: the right TV-tube shape makes "vi", the top one makes "rod", the left one makes "eo-" and the bottom one makes "ven".

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Variant: A short version exists, where it starts from the point where the TV-tube shape zooms out.

Audio: An excerpt of "Fanfare For The Common Man (Earth's Loops)" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, accompanied by laser zaps.

Availability: Although the logo was most likely used in Colombia until the 1990s, Venezuelan tapes until the early 2000s period have reported using it, including a 2002 print of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal).
