Background

Ka 2 started out in 1995 as a TV channel from Belgium. It has later gone in various name changes, those being Kanaal 2 in 1996, KANAALTWEE in 2003, 2BE in 2008, Q2 in 2016, and VTM 2 in 2020, which is currently being used.

ID (August 31, 2020-)

Visuals: Same as VTM's logo; however, the background is red, a "2" is in place of the "vtm" logo at the start, and a smaller "2" is added next to the logo.

Variant: There is a later variant where a model the "2" is seen on a red surface with a red light surrounding it in an lower left isometric view. The scene fades to show us the lower right isometric and front views of the numeral. We then fade to see the "vtm" logo with the "2" next to it. Two glowing streaks are around the logo, and fade away. The logo in also on a red gradient background.

Technique: CGI designed by Gédéon.

Audio: Two echoed trumpet notes and an electronic rendition of VTM's three-note jingle.

Audio Variant: Two marimba notes followed by a rendition of VTM's three-note jingle and a wooshing sound.
