Background

SKC Softland was the video game subsidiary of SKC, mostly being a developer and distributor of computer games. The entity had two developer companies owned, Namil Soft and Wizard Soft.

1st Logo (1992)

Logo: On a black background is the large "SKC" trademark text in red, with a sparkle in top of the K. Below it is the name disclaimer of the company.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: Theme continued from the Makkoya logo.

Availability: Extremely rare; seen on 요정전사 뒤죽 (Yojeongjeonsa Dwijuk).

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (1992-1995)

Logo: On a white background is the SKC logo with the text "SOFTLAND" below.

Variant: Later games feature the logo on a black background with "SOFTLAND" placed next to it.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

3rd Logo (1992)

Logo: On a white background, we see a drawing of a red floppy disk with its upper-right parts segmented into small squares, with a star breaking out of it. Next to it is the "SKC" trademark text, and "SOFT LAND" in black below.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Very rare.

Editor's Note: None.

4th Logo (1996-1999?)

Logo: We see a yellow blob-like character with a smiley face and moving star effects next to it. Next to the character is the "SKC" logo and "SOFTLAND" in a childish hand-drawn font.

Variants:

  • The logo originally was shown on a white background.
  • Other games feature the logo over a blue background, either a plain gradient one or an abstract one.
  • On Campus Love Story, the logo is placed on the bottom-right along with the Namil Soft logo.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Scarce.

Editor's Note: It's a cute logo.
