Background

MExcess was a Canadian premium movie channel that primarily aired action movies, as well as adult films after dark. It was a multiplex channel of The Movie Network. It was folded into that station on March 1, 2016.

1st Logo (2000's-2008)

TBA!

2nd logo (2008-February 29, 2016)

Logo: We see the logo for MExcess (Which is the same logo for Movie Network but pushed to the left and has the words “excess” in all lower case except for the “X” which is two TCF-like searchlights) then we drive by a row of the signature Film Chips but in reddish-pink istead of blue. Then we stop at 1 of them, and it glows, “Feature Presentation”, in the same font as well.

Trivia: This was the only The Movie Network channel to not use the same idents like other channels owsned by the Movie Network.

FX/SFX: The CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Extinct, due to being renamed TMN 3. Check your old tapes.

Legacy: It’s currently hard to find currently outside of older torrent sites.
