Background

Antena 3 is a network in Spain that broadcasts nationwide.

1st Logo (December 25, 1989-1992)

Logo: On a blue/black background with some faint lights glowing, we see five light blue streaks pass by. Two red "walls" then appear suddenly, with curvatures becoming visible on them as the camera zooms out from them, and another similar shape appears from the left. Two dot-like shapes in the same color as the two shape trail their way down, while more light streaks pass by, and a red bar then joins the two shapes together, mostly finishing the logo (which consists of a lowercase "a" next to a "3"). Afterwards, a white glow moves towards the logo, making the empty "3" inside it solid and white. The text "antena 3" then zooms out with a trail effect.

Variants: A short variant of this logo exists.

FX/SFX: The formation of the logo along with the background.

Music/Sounds: A proud brass theme with a backbeat. A female chorus sings "Antena 3" at the end.

Availability: Probably extinct. This was most likely used as a startup.

Legacy: This logo is a favorite of many thanks to its animation and effects.
