Chick-fil-A

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Bumper (February 15, 1998-2010)

Visuals: On a white background, a cow with a paintbrush in its mouth is seen as the camera slowly zooms out. The cow has a sign on its back with the Chick-fil-A logo on it. A graffiti-like writing (done by the cow) that reads "ALL IN FAVOR SAY MOO" can be seen above the cow.

Variant: An alternate variant was seen on Adventures from the Book of Virtues. The cow stares at the camera up-close and the camera zooms out quicker.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: A jazzy saxophone/pizzcato string tune (Solero by Mark Governor) with a male announcer saying "Why are cows everywhere such strong supporters of Chick-fil-A? Perhaps it's because Chick-fil-A supports quality family programming here on PBS."

Audio Variant: A different tune is used with a bassoon (A Jolly Jaunt [a] by Dick Walter) with a different announcer saying the same line. The cow's mooing is heard afterward.

Availability: It appeared on PBS Kids airings of Adventures from the Book of Virtues from 1998 to 2001 and Between the Lions from 2005 to 2010.

2nd Bumper (January 3, 2011-December 27, 2013)

Visuals: On a green chalkboard, the Chick-fil-A logo is seen with the website URL as the camera zooms out to reveal a schoolroom with a cow. The cow then moos.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: An announcer says "Chick-fil-A proudly supports quality educational programming for the whole family on PBS." This is followed by the sound of the cow's moo; after that, the announcer says "The cows have no beef with that." A clock ticking is heard throughout.

Availability: It appeared on PBS Kids airings of Martha Speaks from 2011 to 2013. It also appeared on reruns of Between the Lions at the time.
