Logo (1979-1982)

Visuals: On a black background, several red-colored outlines of a triangle with rounded corners come in from the left side of the screen into the middle. 2 more trails, one from the right and one from the top, then come in one after another, as they flash in the middle of the screen when their trails finish. When the triangles finish creating a 3-tiered triangle outline, the white-lined silhouette of a human head, facing the right, zooms out and morphs the triangle around it as it settles. After the logo is formed up, the following white text scrolls up behind the triangle in the ITC Avant Garde font:

A light blue light trail emerges from in front of the words as well. Once it settles, the triangle zooms in and the light trail shrinks into the text, causing it to flash and zoom out for the rest of the logo until it fades out.

Technique: Motion-controlled cel animation, with some backlit techniques.

Audio: An abridged version of the CRM Productions and McGraw-Hill Films logo's music.

Availability: Seen on their films, including Grand Jury: An Institution Under Fire, The Last Tasmanian Extinction, The Immune Response and Microcomputers: An Introduction.
