Background

Blue Planet Software is a video game company specializing in Tetris games. Although it may have been known that it uses the same abbreviation and also a strong relation with Bullet-Proof Software, it actually is a separate company headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii.

1st Logo (July 31, 1999-2001)

Nickname: "Plain Planet"

Logo: The background is full of a liberty blue color. A red/yellow gradient stylized "BPS" zooms into the screen, while the blue color zooms out, revealing it to be formed on a sphere. Once the logo is formed, "BLUE PLANET SOFTWARE" in blue fades above the logo.

Variant: There is a still version.

FX/SFX: The zooming, the fading.

Music/Sounds: TBA, on Barbie: Team Gymnastics, we hear Barbie talking about the game over the logo.

Availability: Seen on The Next Tetris for the PS1 and it's offshoots. A still version of this appears on Barbie: Team Gymnastics for PC

2nd Logo (September 5, 2001-March 20, 2002)

Nickname: "Rugged Planet", "Cheesy Alien Planet"

Logo: We see a blue sphere with purple dot patters seen on it. It zooms in and spins. The "BPS" from before then wipes in via light, formed as a green border. The logo then gets filled with red, and the blue "BLUE PLANET SOFTWARE" text (you can also see a purple outline) fades in above the logo.

FX/SFX: The zooming, the wiping, the fading, the filling.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Seen on Tetris Worlds for the PC and PS2.
