Logo: We see a closeup of the globe from the BBC News intro, which pans to the right. The BBC World logo with the slogan "Putting News First" fades in.

Variant: There is a version which is just the BBC News intro at the time, except "NEWS" is changed to "WORLD".

Music/Sounds: An abridged version of the BBC News intro. For the second version, just the BBC News theme at the time.

Logo: Same as the second version of the previous logo.

Variants:

  • During its 25th anniversary celebration in 2016, the logo was inverted with the words appearing in red on a white box and the words "25 YEARS" appearing on the right and "1991-2016" below with confettis in the background. On break bumpers and stings, "1991-2016" didn't appear.
  • Since July 15, 2019, "WORLD NEWS" is in the BBC Reith Sans font instead of Gill Sans.
  • From April 25, 2022, the 2021 BBC logo replaced the 1997 logo to match with the BBC rebrand.
