Background

Astrion was a British home video distributor founded in 1995 by Ivor Scholsberg and was acquired by PolyGram Filmed Entertainment in June 1998.

(1995-1998)

Nicknames: "The Space Diamond", "Spinning Diamond"

Logo: On a starry dark space background, we see a blue diamond zooming in from the distance, spinning. As it gets closer to the camera, it spins, then the 3D word in Copperplate Gothic light flips, zooming out underneath the diamond, "ASTRION", placing it. As they both stop, the shiny star glows on the diamond.

FX/SFX: The diamond, the word, and the shining. Decent CGI for the time.

Music/Sounds: A low synth note, with a somber string theme playing over it.

Availability: Rare. Seen on Letterland, Wizadora, Jeremy Clarkson's Motorsport Mayhem, amongst others.

Editor's Note: The animation may be bright, but the music may not sit well with a few.
