Background:

Applause Pictures was launched in April 2000 by Peter Chan Ho-sun, Teddy Chen and Allan Fung. It had the goals of creating pan-Asian productions with countries like Japan, Thailand, South Korea, and Singapore, alongside other companies in Hong Kong. They seemed to have shut down around 2008.

Logo (2000-2006)

Visuals: On a black background, a few white letters randomly flash. More letters flash, revealing the text "applause pictures". The letters then stop flashing, being left intact. After a few seconds, a red line fades in between "applause" and "pictures".

Technique: Simple animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on movies made by them, like Three, Golden Chicken, and The Eye 2, among others.
