Background

Ange is an adult game brand managed by Syscom, which acted as a counterpart to the latter's general demographic brand Matrix.



1st Logo (October 18, 1991-August 1, 1992)

Visuals: On a black background, there is an anime character dressed up as an angel and a purple oval containing a white border and the script-style word "Ange". The angel sways while holding her hands, and then closes her eyes doing a praying pose.

Technique: Sprite-based animation.

Audio: An 8-note dramatic synth theme.

Availability: It can be seen on their first two PC-98 visual novels, Rose and Kiss.

2nd Logo (March 11, 1994)

Visuals: On a black background, the same oval logo from before is seen but with a brighter pink color. Below is the pink text "TEAM PAS".

Technique: A sprite-based graphic.

Audio: A soothing 3-note organ theme.

Availability: The logo is exclusive to the PC-98 visual novel LIKE.

3rd Logo (October 14, 1994-August 30, 1996)

Visuals: A bright blue background is shown fading in, and a white ripple appears while the pink text "Ange" fades in. A copy of the same text, in white, fades in close to it and waves. The background then turns black, as the text fades to the oval design from the 1st logo.

Technique: Sprite-based animation.

Audio: A re-arrangement of the previous logo's theme, with an ascending melody playing alongside the organ.

Availability: The logo can be seen on the PC-98 visual novels Kaiketsu Nikki, School Festival ~Cosmos Sai Kitan~, S-Express, Arbeit ~Futari no Omoi~, Leap Toki ni Sarawareta Shoujo, and Coin.
