Background

Ambrella is a Japanese game developer that was formed in 1996 as part of Marigul Management Inc., a joint venture between Nintendo and Recruit Co. in the late 1990s and early 2000s which consisted of several development teams that focused on smaller, experimental projects. The studio is best known for their work on several spinoffs in the Pokémon franchise, namely Hey You Pikachu!, Pokémon Channel and Pokémon Dash, in addition to the ongoing Pokémon Rumble series.

Nickname: "The Hand Picking Up the E"

Logo: On a white background, we see the green text "AMBR LLA". A squarish red-shaded outlined hand is shown above, holding the "E".

Variants:

  • On Pokémon Channel, the logo is on a lavender background with the game's logo zoomed in, below the Nintendo and The Pokémon Company logos.
