Background

Al-Aqsa TV (قناة الأقصى) is a Palestinian television channel run by Hamas and is based in the Gaza Strip. The name of the channel is derived from the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Their content encompasses news and messaging that promote the Hamas cause, children's shows (most notably Tomorrow's Pioneers, criticized for promoting violence and anti-Semitic views), and religious entertainment.
