Technique: The scrolling of the text.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on Abbey Home Entertainment, Tempo Pre-School and Tempo Video releases in the UK.

2nd Warning (1996-1997)

Warning: Same as the PolyGram Warning from the 1990's.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Very rare due to short-lived. Seen on the UK VHS release of Playtime.

3rd Warning (1997-2004, 2006)

Warning: Same as the PolyGram Warning.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the warning takes place on a dark blue background, and the text is in an Arial font.
  • On Just Entertainment UK VHS releases, the warning text all scrolls up, is smaller and longer, and "Warning:" is placed at the top left.

Technique: None, but for the variant, the text scrolling up.

Music/Sounds: None

Availability: Appeared on later PolyGram and Just Entertainment era Abbey Home Entertainment, Tempo Pre-School and Tempo Video VHS releases in the UK. This was also used on many Abbey Home Media era VHS and early DVD releases as well. The standard warning screen also made a very unusual appearance at the end of the 2003 DVD of Mr. Men: The Great Alphabet Hunt, possibly due to it being transferred from a VHS master.

4th Warning (2002-)

Warning: Same as the Universal and DreamWorks Warnings.

Variants:

  • On some DVD releases, the text is in a different font and spaced differently.
  • Starting around 2007 and 2008, the warning screen is matted into 16:9 widescreen and fades out early.
  • On later releases, the text is smaller and expanded.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on a majority of Abbey Home Media’s releases, also including releases under their Tempo Pre-School, Tempo and Tempo TV Classics imprints.
