Background

The AVID Channel is the official YouTube channel of this wiki, the Audiovisual Identity Database. The channel was launched during the rebrand in 2022, taking over the former spoof channel called the Logo Documentation Authority (LDA). During development, many names were considered for the channel, including AVID Alive and AVID Video Network.

1st Logo (October 4, 2022-June 28, 2023)

Visuals: On a white background, multiple red lines, in sync with the tune, appear and disappear in different spots. One red line eventually takes up the screen, which starts the animation of the 2022 AVID logo drawing in colored white. In sync with the tune still, the background changes colors from red to orange, to yellow, to green, to blue, and then to gray. As the camera pans across the screen, the AVID logo then zooms out to the center of the screen, and, in sync with the last 3 notes, transforms into a modified version of the 2022 logo in a straight rainbow gradient similar to the then new wiki logo. The rainbow background slowly blurs again as the dark blue box surrounded by the rainbow stripes from the previous logo fade in. The AVID logo, colored white, writes itself in as "The" and "Channel" in the former AVID Sans font fades in. The end result looks similar to that of the final 2 variants of the previous logo.

  • A short version of the logo exists starting when everything is already formed.
  • Like the previous logo, an updated version was made using the AVID Web font. In this one, the logo looks a bit higher quality, and the animation is much cleaner.

Audio Trivia: The audio in the logo debuted a whole 2 weeks before the actual logo was made.

Availability: The logo was first revealed on the AVID Community Discord server and made its debut on the channel with the premiere of Rebrand The Brand. The short version can be seen on all 3 character introduction videos of Reconstruction Zone on the channel. The third variant has yet to debut as of writing.
