AVID:Requests for Comment/Ban The use of "TBA" in pages.

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

So I decided to make this because TBA makes pages look like they were made in 2 minutes and it's annoying.

Note If you don't get what I'm saying take a look at the MeTV IDs and NBC News Productions Pages. the MeTV IDs page was created by a sockpuppet of PBSArchive2020 and abused the Use of "TBA" To troll people who were looking at it and Repeated TBA as "TBAǃǃǃǃǃǃ". This is why I want to Ban TBA and Replace it with "[???]" so people don't abuse a simple abbreviation of "To be announced"

Oppose

Oppose You provided no reason other than "Too Annoying" and this is useful if you don't got a lot of information on something (for example, say you don't have a lot of info on the background of a company. You would need to use this instead of leaving it blank.) (USER TALK!) 16:08, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

Ok I read your other message but that was just a troll sock-a-teer looking for attention. And if we ban the word we will just make it look like they won (USER TALK!) 22:16, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
Also, Oppose to the alt proposal because replacing the text with [???] would just make it look sloppy given the use of the symbols (USER TALK!) 22:56, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

Oppose You want it removed just because it’s annoying? A lot of other wikis like Wikipedia use the TBA term. So what gives? BaldiBasicsFan (talk) 22:51, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

  • Before I cast my vote, what kind of alternative to this proposal should be in the "TBA"'s place? Instead of that word, should the sections be left blank (no content next to the section heading) or contain a different term that varies on each section? Camenati (talk) 16:53, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
Put [???] in place of TBA. (My Talk Page) 15:53, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
