Background

Zespół Filmowy X was a Polish film production studio, founded on New Years Day in 1972. The studio's formation was the brainchild of acclaimed Polish director Andrzej Wajda, who served as the Artistic Director for the duration of the studio's existence. It was dissolved on May 1, 1983.

Nicknames: "Bird Hunting", "Big X", "Bird X", "The Swallows", "Polish Alfred Hitchcock"

Logo: On a grass plain, we see black swallows fly towards the screen. The words "Przedsiębiorstwo Realizacji Filmów - Zespoły Filmowe" appears on the screen and then disappears. The swallows form a big "X" and the words "Zespół Filmowy" appears left from it and then disappears. Additional swallows appear and merge into the X. Suddenly, it dissolves back into the swallows and the swallows fly to the screen and cover it, leaving just the black background. The white word "PRZEDSTAWIA" is then seen.

FX/SFX: The swallows flying and merging.

Music/Sounds: The howling of swallows that gets louder during the animation, then finishes with a loud bang.

Availability: Seen before Partita na instrument drewniany, among other films.
