Background

Warner Interactive was a secondary video game division of Time Warner Entertainment, formed in 1995 after it purchased Renegade Software and merged it with CD-ROM subsidiary WarnerActive. The European division of Time Warner Interactive was soon merged into the company after it was sold to Midway Games that year. When Time Warner decided to get out of the video game business in 1997, Warner Interactive was sold to GT Interactive Software.

1st Logo (July 14, 1995-November 11, 1996)

Visuals: Over a white background is the famous "\\'" on a navy blue circle, based on the 1972-1984 theatrical logo. The company name is stacked and below it.

Variant: On Virocop, the logo shares the screen with the Renegade logo.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Pitball and Virocop, among others. Many titles were actually released under the Time Warner or Renegade Software name.

2nd Logo (1996-1997)

Visuals: Similar to the previous logo, but now the background is black and the text reads "WARNER INTERACTIVE" on one line. Also, the custom Warner font is used, like in its movie counterpart.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Availability: Seen on 3 Skulls of the Toltecs and International Moto X.
