Background

Warner-Pioneer was a joint venture between American music company Warner Music Group and Japanese electronics company Pioneer Corporation (which owned an entertainment division at the time), founded in 1971. In 1991, Warner Music bought out the remaining shares of the company, which was later renamed to its current name, Warner Music Japan.

(1980s-1991?)

Logo: We fade in to a close up shot of the Warner Bros. shield, colored white, as it is zooming out over a black background with various flashing video copies of the shield over blue backgrounds, slightly reminiscent of the 1983 CBS/Fox Video logo. As the shield rests in place we zoom away from the video wall. The shield suddenly changes texture, from a flat white shield with a gray shadow to a somewhat glossy shield. As that happens, the Pioneer logo wipes into place below the shield, and a white outlined box fades in, surrounding the shield.

FX/SFX: Decent 2D effects.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on Who's That Girl World Tour, Assemble Insert, and other releases.

Editor's Note: None.
