Background

WWF Home Video was formed in 1997 after its original distributors, Coliseum Video, who supported the WWF folded. The company was renamed to WWE Home Video in 2002 due to a lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund.

(1998-1999)

Logo: On a black background, we see a TV turning on, revealing it was static. The static then zooms out, and a purple version of the 1995-1998 WWF logo zooms out. Then the static fades to the audience, and the red words "HOME VIDEO" fades in below the logo. The text "WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION" zooms out below the logo.

Variant: In its later days, the WWF logo was updated to the "scratch" logo, and the "HOME VIDEO" text is in white and it slides in from the left and right sides. Plus, the static was in blue.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A sound of a TV static, followed by a whoosh, ending in a rock note.

Availability: Seen on old WWF home video tapes from the era. Later WWF/WWE tapes used the standard TV logo from the era.
