Background

WCEU is an independent public television station serving the Daytona area, and licensed to New Smyrna Beach. It was launched as WCEU in 1988 as a PBS member station. The station changed its call sign in 2008 to WDSC, and in 2011, it left PBS.

1st Logo (1988-1990)

Visuals: There are some kind of bird standing on a podium. Next to it is text pointing southeast that says "WCEU". Below that, we see "TV 15" text.

Technique: A mix of live-action and chyron effects.

Audio: Possibly an announcer saying "This is WCEU-TV 15, New Smyrna Beach".

Availability: Only used as a station ID.

2nd Logo (Early 1990s)

Visuals: The sequence begins on a night sky with an orange-tinted moon and some fireworks. Then, on the bottom-right of the screen, we see the moving letters "WCEU 15" as well as two orange-colored plates. "NEW SMYRNA BEACH / DAYTONA BEACH" appears below it.
